This Privacy Policy explains how Cloud 9 Studios collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards personal information when you visit our website, watch our trailers, request information about our films or investor opportunities, send a creative submission, or otherwise communicate with our team.

  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, pages and trailers viewed, time spent on the site, referring and exit URLs, and approximate location derived from IP address.
  • Communication Records: Records of emails, contact form messages, phone calls, and other correspondence between you and Cloud 9 Studios.

Submission Release and Waiver

Cloud 9 Studios receives a high volume of creative submissions. Before submitting Materials through the Submissions form on cloud9studios.com, you must acknowledge and agree to the Cloud 9 Studios Submission Release and Waiver. The Release explains, among other things, that submissions are not treated as confidential, that Cloud 9 Studios may already have similar projects in development, that we have no obligation to review, respond, return, store, compensate, or credit you for your submission, and that any further use of your Materials requires a separate written agreement. Sensitive Personal Information

Cloud 9 Studios does not intentionally collect sensitive personal information, and we ask that you do not include it in submissions or correspondence. Sensitive personal information includes, for example, government identifiers (such as Social Security or passport numbers), financial account credentials, precise geolocation, biometric data, and health information.

Consent to Communication

By providing your contact information, you consent to receive communications from Cloud 9 Studios about our films, trailers, releases, screenings, investor updates, creative submissions you have sent us, and other studio news. We may reach you by email, telephone, SMS, or other electronic means. 3. How We Share Your Information

Cloud 9 Studios does not sell or share personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration. To the extent any tracking on our website is treated as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law, you can opt out as described in Section 5.

We share personal information only as needed to run the studio and the website, including:

We will verify your identity as required by law and respond within the time period required by the applicable privacy law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

6. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy. In general:

  • Contact form entries are retained for 12 to 24 months after we receive them.
  • Creative submissions are retained for the period needed to evaluate the submission and to administer and defend any claim arising from it under the Submission Release and Waiver. We may retain a record of the submission and the related Release acknowledgment for as long as needed for legal and recordkeeping purposes.
  • Email and other correspondence is retained for the duration of the working relationship and for a reasonable archival period after.
  • Analytics data collected by Google Analytics is retained for 14 months, which is the default setting.
  • Financial, contractual, and tax records are kept for the period required by applicable law.

When personal information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

7. Data Security

Cloud 9 Studios uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission over the internet and no method of electronic storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use good judgment when sending materials to us, and never send sensitive personal information through unsecured channels.

8. Children’s Privacy

While Cloud 9 Studios films are made for movie lovers of all ages, cloud9studios.com is not directed to children under 13, and Cloud 9 Studios does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The Submission Release and Waiver requires that you be at least 18 years old to submit Materials.

Cloud 9 Studios does not control these third parties and is not responsible for their privacy practices.
